DISHONORED 2 is almost exactly what I wanted, which is to say, more Dishonored. However, coming hot off the heels of DEATHLOOP (in my play order this, our year 2025) the writing and voice acting in DISHONORED 2 was, at times, frankly embarrassing.
I do not recall this as a problem in previous Dishonored-game experiences and, while tonally distinct (though not worlds apart), this is absolutely not the case in DEATHLOOP.
Beyond this, DISHONORED 2 is one of those games that you know someone has sunk 1000 hours into and that someone could easily be any one of us given the right circumstances. This is a vast and dense game with mechanical and tactical variety that enter it into ‘deserted island game’ territory with the likes of THE ELDER SCROLLS III: MORROWIND and FINAL FANTASY TACTICS .
